2011 Perinatal Resource Guide

If you work with perinatal families in Southern Maine, you should be listed here!

Rates range from FREE to $290 for a full page ad.

 

Participating is simple:

1.  Complete the online Ad Application to the right

2.  Pay for your listing in the payment box to the right or mail your check

3.  Approve the proof of your ad and/or listing in November

4.  Help to distribute guides throughout Southern Maine to spread the word

FAQs

1.  How many guides are printed?    The number of guides we print is dependent on the amount of revenue from ads.  We have steadily increased numbers each year and plan to print 5000 or more copies for 2011.  The guide is also available on our website - this year's guide will be in a downloadable pdf format.

2.  Where and how are guides distributed?  Birth Roots relies on resource guide participants to distribute to their clients and also delivers large batches to Mercy Hospital, Maine Medical Center, Physician and Midwives' offices, coffee shops and other places where expecting families visit. 

3.  What geographical areas does the guide cover?  The majority of businesses are in Greater Portland with significant secondary clusters in Bath/Brunswick, Lewiston/Auburn, Bridgton and York County. 

4.  What if I want more than 25 words in my directory listing?  Additional words are .20 each for directory listings with a maximum of 40 words. 

5.  What if I want to be listed in more than one category?  Advertising in multiple categories is encouraged - we want the Resource Guide to be as accurate as it can be.  The additional cost is $10 extra per section for directory listings and $10 off each additional 1/4 to full page ad.  The ad does not have to be a duplicate.  Unique ads and directory listings for each section is welcome. 

Example 1: multiple ads

You would like a 1/4 page ad  to appear in both the Womens Health and Yoga categories.  Your total would be $70 for the first ad + $60 for the second ad.  There is no additional charge for the additional directory listing when you purchase multiple ads.

Example 2: multiple directory listings

You would like an Enhanced Directory Listing consisting of 30 words in Acupuncture, Chiropractic and Pediatric Health and Wellness.  You would pay $35 for your listing + $10 for each additional category + 1.00 for the 5 additional words

6.  What if my ad total isn't on the drop down menu for online payments?  We have only basic ad package prices available for online payments.  You may use the “donation” button on our front page which has no pre-set amounts, just be sure to notify us so we can accurately apply your payment.  You may also tally your ad expense and mail a check to Birth Roots at 101 State Street, Portland, ME 04101.

7.  I'm not sure which category I should list my business in.  Open the Word or PDF of directory listings for greater detail about the businesses listed in each section.  If you are still stumped please contact Emily at Birth Roots for a solution.
